Emm Gryner is a Canadian pop/rock singer, actor, writer and
radio host. She won the Canadian Music Publisher’s Songwriting
Scholarship, the Radiostar Songwriting Contest and has been
nominated three times for a Juno Award (twice for Best Pop
Album). Gryner also won The Grand Theatre’s Young
Playwright’s Award three years in a row.
In Q Magazine, U2’s Bono recently named Emm’s song
“Almighty Love” as one of six songs from the past 20 years that
he wishes he had written. During a promo trip for his album
”Reality”, David Bowie named Emm as one of his two favorite
Canadian recording artists. Nelly Furtado named Emm’s album
“Science Fair” as one of her desert island discs in a VH1
interview.
Emm makes her film debut alongside Joshua Jackson in the
new film “One Week” (March 2009). The film was a Gala
Feature Presentation at the 2008 Toronto International Film
Festival. Emm is also the host of the CBC radio program “Under
The Covers” and has just finished a new album with Grammy-
nominated producer Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Mika,
